FORBES.com The New Faces of Biohacking: 20+ Women Who Are Reshaping the Future of Health and Human Potential
By Lindsay O’Neill | CEO, Wellness Eternal
It all feels so familiar — a wave of innovation, a spark of curiosity, a groundswell of growth.
I’ve seen this before.
Back in the heady, high-octane world of early 2000s tech startups, I was part of the founding crew of what we now call the OGs of Web 2.0: pitching investors, building companies, disrupting outdated models — and constantly fighting for a seat at the table in rooms where women were barely present.
In 2006, I launched The Femme Network — a platform to connect and empower women across industries, to amplify innovation, and to champion entrepreneurial grit. I was named a finalist in Forbes’ Boost Your Business competition, featured in Crain’s New York and other outlets as a rising voice for women founders. It was thrilling. It was chaotic. It was the Wild West.
And now, nearly two decades later, I’m feeling déjà vu.
Only this time, the frontier isn’t tech. It’s Health. Optimization. Longevity. Biohacking.
If you’ve spent even five minutes in the biohacking space, you’ve likely heard the usual names: Dave Asprey, Ben Greenfield, Gary Brecka, Andrew Huberman, Bryan Johnson. These men have played a powerful role in shaping the conversation around human performance. They’ve built platforms, sold millions of books, and introduced the world to a new vision of wellness that goes far beyond diet and exercise.
But there’s another story unfolding — one that hasn’t been told loudly enough.
Behind the noise, a rising force of women have been quietly, fiercely, and brilliantly building the future of this movement.
These women aren’t sidekicks. They’re founders, scientists, doctors, mothers, inventors, educators, and healers. They’re redefining what it means to lead in the wellness world. They’re rewriting protocols, designing tools, building communities, and ushering in a new paradigm of care — one that values intuition and data, energy and biology, community and sovereignty.
And they deserve the spotlight.
That’s why I’m honored to introduce you to 22 Notable Women in Biohacking — visionaries who are actively reshaping how we think about health, vitality, and human potential.
My intention is simple: to pull back the curtain and show you the women driving this industry forward. Women you can follow, partner with, learn from, and be inspired by. Because on your journey of healing and optimization, you deserve a powerful circle of truth-tellers, teachers, and pioneers to guide the way.
These women are my friends, my collaborators, and my sisters in this still-nascent space. Together, we are creating a movement — one rooted in science, sovereignty, and soul — to help more people unlock their fullest potential.
And this is just the beginning.
